Divide the students into pairs, each with a ball.
Their task is to mirror for each other while performing tasks. Change who mirrors who during the course of the game. Make students aware of the ’mirror line’.
Start by standing face to face and explore the reflection. Move the ball towards the mirror, away from the mirror, in a circle away from the body, close to the body. Then start to move around the room. Roll the ball along the floor, throw it in the air, run slow, fast, jump, etc.
After a while the pairs may try to share ’the mirror’ with another pair, mirroring each others movements. Can they be as many as five students in one mirror while simultaneously moving around the room?
Feel free to use music to this exercise. Vary between slow and fast music.
